New cultural architecture in Poland
17 Torun - CKK Cultural and Congress Centre Jordanki
Jordanki is a multi-functional facility with a concert hall, a chamber and mobile auditoriums. For the building, the lowest possible height was kept to maintain views of the river and integrate the building in the neighbourhood and the natural environment. The visual effect aimed at is that of a natural object, a rock.
Opening: 2015
Situation: just outside the old city centre, with green and grey public space around, including a rooftop garden.

18 Warsaw - POLIN Museum of the history of Polis Jews
The Museum is a historical museum which presents the 1000 years of Jewish life in the Polish lands. By promoting the ideas of openness, tolerance and truth, POLIN Museum contributes to the mutual understanding and respect among Poles and Jews. POLIN is first public-private partnership institution. The museum was constructed in the area that was a thriving district transformed during WWII in a ghetto.

19 Warsaw - Copernicus Science Centre (Centrum Nauki Kopernik)
Copernicus wants to inspire people to experiment, understand the world, and take responsible action, its values are value science, integrity, openness, co-operation, care for the environment. Copernicus is the largest science centre in Central and Eastern Europe, 15.000 m2, and includes a planetarium and a rooftop garden to add to its environmental friendliness.
Opening: 2014
Situation: along the Vistula river, with green space, outside performance area, underground parking etc.
